Civil Construction Supervisor

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Supervision of day to day activities and diverse workforce associated with civil construction
  • Maintain the development and track record of time delivery and running a project to budget
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to liaise effectively with Project Engineers and Sub Contractors
  • Detailed knowledge of safety standards and implementation of JHA’s and SWP’s.

In order to be a successful candidate you must have a min 3 years experience of supervision on sub divisional works, hold a current C class Drivers License, Construction Blue/White Card and be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol screen. 

Transport Manager

APH Contractors Pty Ltd is a leading Earthworks, Civil Construction and Haulage Company based in the South West of WA.

We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our team. This is a key role within our business responsible for managing and leading Transport, Logistics, Workshop, Yard, Drivers and Maintenance.

It is a busy role which requires someone who can provide strong leadership, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and make things happen through engagement and ownership.

The duties of this position will include (but not limited to);

  • Managing and directing the workshop and transport operations teams with regards to the company fleet, equipment
  • Ensuring that the authorization of fleet inspections are carried out prior to delivery of equipment to site and within compliance of the company policies and safety guidelines;
  • Maintaining a strong working relationship with clients and internal stakeholders and  acting as a point of escalation for any problems;
  • Effectively liaising and negotiating with key personnel;
  • Liaising with the Operations Manager, Project Manager and Site Supervisors to ensure that all required equipment and plant is available for required construction activities;
  • Managing the Main Road Accreditations systems and other company specific induction requirements with regards to company fleet;
  • Managing the workshop, including overseeing implementation of required occupational health, safety and environmental obligations;
  • Overseeing and authorising mechanical repairs and the company fleet;
  • Providing quotations for supply and delivery of APH raw materials (sand, gravel & limestone);
  • Managing company deliveries and haulage as required for all contracts:
  • Managing environmental issues within the workshop, including recycling, oil and fuel spills
  • Liaising with the HR/OHS Officer in regards to recruitment, current main road requirements, appropriate legislations all safety/incident related matters;
  • Undertaking reviews of key operational personnel, including operator competencies and maintaining current and required operator licences and accreditations;
  • Fostering a culture of safety, commitment, cooperation and ownership.

A high level understanding of customer service fundamentals and appropriate skills in influencing clients.

HC/MC Truck Drivers

APH Contractors are currently seeking experienced reliable HC/MC drivers for current and upcoming works across various sites in the South West region.

Successful applicants will need to have;

  • Valid Drivers Licence
  • Commercial Truck Driver Medical
  • Fatigue Management
  • Construction Safety ‘White’ Card
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test

Civil Plant Operators 

APH Contractors are currently seeking experienced reliable Machine Operators for work in the South West region.

Positions available include Excavator Operators, Loader Operators, Dump Truck Operators and Roller Operators.

All applicants must have:

  • Sub-division construction experience
  • Construction Safety ‘White’ Card
  • Drivers Licence
  • Reliable transport
  • Be able to pass drug and alcohol test if required

Drainers / Pipe Layers


  • PVC Pipe Laying ticket
  • Excavator
  • Construction Industry White Card


  • 12mths+ Civil Industry experience
  • 12mths+ Pipe Laying experience
  • Valid Drivers Licence
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to provide copies of all licences and tickets, and pass a drug & alcohol test
  • Must be motivated, hard-working, physically fit and willing to undertake any labouring duties if required. 

Cable Layer/Installer (Underground)


  • Western Power Lay Underground Electrical Supply Cables – Essential
  • Excavator
  • Construction Industry Whitecard


  • Cable-Laying experience - Essential
  • Be able to work autonomously
  • Duties power installation, trenching, manual labour, machine operation
  • Liaising with the client and supervision
  • Must be hard working, honest and physically able
  • Hold a current Drivers License


APH Contractors are seeking an experienced self-driven Boilermaker to join our team.

Qualifications and Experience

·         Trade Qualification in Engineering Fabrication

·         Extensive experience working on heavy industry transport/earthmoving equipment

·         Minimum 4 years post-trade experience
